Born in Pontiac, Michigan Amber Fry moved to Charlotte, NC with her parents and brothers at the age of ten. Spending formative years in the south, where home is an essential part of life she enjoyed helping her mother rearrange the furniture in different areas of the house. Changing the way her own bedroom was arranged and the color scheme was a favorite past time.

Amber attended Winthrop University where she studied elementary education. While attending Winthrop she decided to follow her love of Art and design and to obtain a degree in interior design from the Art Institute of Charlotte.

While studying at the Art Institute, Amber excelled in drafting, space planning, rendering and CAD. In addition to her classroom lessons, her experience as an intern in a residential design firm has enabled her to develop her design skills to the fullest. Amber attended the Market in Highpoint, NC where she learned of various lines of furniture, accessories and fabrics that will be available in the coming year. Attending NEOCON East in Baltimore, Maryland was a highlight of her educational experience. While at NEOCON she became acquainted with new furniture and product lines for commercial spaces.

Amber expanded on her organization and leadership skills while serving as Interior Design Student Association secretary at the Art Institute of Charlotte in the 2003-2004 academic years.
